On September 18, 2017 the general meeting of judges, called by the president of the court Yaroslav Holovachov, was held at the small conference hall of the Kyiv Court of Appeal.
The chairman of the event was unanimously elected Yaroslav Holovachev, who began a meeting solemnly on the occasion of awarding the honorable title «The Honored Lawyer of Ukraine» to the former judge of the Kyiv Court of Appeal Svetlana Strizko. During the announcement of the Presidential Decree, the head of the Kyiv Court of Appeal noted a great personal contribution to a nation-building, social-economic, scientific-technical, cultural and educational development of Ukraine, significant work achievements and high professionalism of the former judge. For the awarding, the floor was given to the honorary guest of the event – The Head of the Council of Judges of Ukraine Valentyna Simonenko.
During the event, the President of the court and the entire judicial corps sincerely congratulated the judge of the judicial chamber on criminal cases Oleg Malinovsky and the judge of the judicial chamber on civil cases Lubov Polivach on their anniversary dates.
Taking an opportunity, colleagues have noted the positive professional and moral characteristics of the mentioned judges and wished them a strong health, stability, prosperity and a considerable success.
Irina Gorb, the judge of the judicial chamber on criminal cases, has also accepted the greetings from the judicial corps on the occasion of her birthday.
During the meeting, the judiciary considered and approved the proposals available for consideration under agenda item of the meeting relating to the internal activities of the Kyiv Court of Appeal. In particular, judges voted for change the composition of the judicial chamber on civil case of the Kyiv Court of Appeal and the quantitative and personal composition of the judicial chambers, determine the specialization of judges to hear specific categories of cases, approve the permanent standing bench of judges and resolve other issues of the internal activities of the Court in the light of the proposed changes.
At the end of the meeting, judges unanimously voted to initiate the submission of a proposal to the President of Ukraine for awarding of the retired judge of the Kyiv Court of Appeal the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise V degree.
Following the consideration of the agenda item, Yaroslav Holovachov, the chairman of the meeting, expressed thanks to all present for the work it had done so far and wished strength, inspiration, and success in their daily professional activities.
