By decree of the President of Ukraine No. 307/2017 dated October 6, 2017, the retired judge of the Kyiv Court of Appeal Hryhoriy Zubets was awarded the Order of the Prince Yaroslav the Wise of the fifth degree.
The former judge honored such a high award for a significant personal contribution to the development of a law-governed state, the protection of the constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens, long-term solid work, and high professionalism.
Hryhoriy Zubets had been working for 24 years at the Kyiv Court of Appeal: since 1993 he headed the Kyiv City Court, and subsequently, under his chairmanship, the Kyiv Court of Appeal began to function.
On the eve of the professional holiday and on the occasion of the Hryhoriy Zubets’s 80th anniversary, the President of Ukraine signed a decree awarding of the judge of the Kyiv Court of Appeal the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise V degree.
In a very warm atmosphere among the judiciary Yaroslav Holovachov, the president of the Kyiv Court of Appeal, congratulated Hryhoriy Zubets for his effective work of many years.
«The slogan for this order is wisdom, honor and glory. You have truly earned this state award. From now on you are Commander of the Order of Prince Yaroslav the Wise», the president of the Kyiv Court of Appeal said.
The congratulations of the closest colleagues who can call a retired judge their teacher were no less genuine. Actually, he still remains – a deep professional and competent mentor.
